INTRODUCTION:

Life is full of experiences either positive or negative and the best thing is that both teach valuable lessons but the twisting part is that positive memories hold such amazing things that whenever we recall them, a different sort of happiness fills the soul. This is the thing that is happening with me while finishing the Amal career-prep fellowship. And without a doubt, it was the best experience. I am very happy about successfully completing my fellowship with flying colors and emotional about leaving it, at the same time. I must say, although it was only about three months but it has taught me the most valuable lessons and has done justice with its cause. I want to share my journey for me as well as for others so that whenever I read it myself, I can feel the sweet nostalgia and when others read, they can take help from my experiences and got to join Amal Academy.

THE LAST SESSION:

Last sessions and formal meetups are always hard yet the loveliest and so it was same the case. Sharing our thoughts, ideas, goals, and getting valuable lessons and learnings had become a habit from the past three months and it had built a connection and in the last session, seeing our program manager- Ma’am Iman and program associate-Sir Ahmed, and getting guidance from them was perfect. So many things I have learned in this platform and one of them is communication and connecting with others. Being an introvert, we are always the listener and you absorb so much and give out very less, which does not make good connections sometimes, here I learned that sharing is connecting, communicating is sharing and it is very important to talk to your age fellows because it provides an idea that where to go in life and it is itself professional learning. And talking to our facilitators and professors always enhances the mindset and helps to get a broad mind.

APPLYING THE LEARNINGS:

Amal has changed my perspective on leadership and I apply it in my daily life and in my professional life, I have learned to initiate and to take steps, which is something great for me. Apart from this, the one-on-one session with Miss Iman gave me clarity over my professional career and I am grateful that I was able to change a lot from my professional life and made it better. Amal has literally made me a different person and I can clearly see the distinction between the past and the new ME. As part of my next steps, I plan to be in touch with my Amal facilitators and also the new friendships I made.

CONCLUSION:

I believe everyone who is destined towards their self-growth must join Amal academy and must improve themselves as it is the practical implementation of all the concepts we know.
